CYRUS
The evolution of industrial systems towards more connectivity makes them more vulnerable to the threats of cyber attacks. In the context of the European digital single market, European cybersecurity regulations have recently been adapted in order to improve consumer confidence.
For critical infrastructures, it is planned that certification in cybersecurity will eventually be compulsory.
Customers of companies supplying connected industrial systems already require cybersecurity testing to be performed by independent organisations.
The CYRUS project constitutes the first phase of an ambitious project aiming to develop and implement, in Wallonia, a cybersecurity test laboratory dedicated to CPS (Cyber Physical Systems). These systems are being developed and deployed in all industrial fields. The CYRUS project is in line with the strategy of CONTRIBUTE, a platform dedicated to cyber-physical systems in the fields of energy conversion and transport.
